Herp Junkie, Inc. Who we are: Herp Junkie, Inc. is a private reptile breeding company specializing in various type of Reptiles. Such as geckos, turtles, monitors, and snakes. We are dedicated in providing the best quality in reptile keeping experience, and customer service available for the public. Be hobbyists or professionals. We strive to provide you with the best service that we can.
Uroplatus Project: Our mission is not to take over the world. But more to try to save part of it. One of the goal that we thrive to achieve is to become top breeders of the Uroplatus Genus. We've began with the fascinating Uroplatus Phantasticus. And our breeding record has been amazing. Out of a colony of seven that originally started the breeding projects, we were able to hatch out over 11 eggs in the first 8 months. Now with our expanded colony, and more resources and funding. We are able to pick out 50 of the most amazing specimens we found, and include them in our selective breeding program. Which profit will be used to increase our second breeding colony that we are using to establish a large stable population in the U.S ( and possibly Europe far in the future). All of this is in efforts to help reduce the need of importation of this specific reptile from it's natural habitat. Especially in the United States, where thousands have been imported since 2000, and every year the demand has grown more and more. This then put a dent in the wild population, as more and more are being imported. Although cites is putting restriction on import quantity. And let's say we limit the importation, their habitat is being destroyed due to the need of real estate in Madagascar. So creating a large stable population in the United States helps maintain their numbers reasonable, as others are fighting to save the jungles of Madagascar . Last thing we need is to not be able to find these creatures in the wild, and only in a zoo.
We thank you for visiting HerpJunkie.com, and hope you can join the mission in saving these beautiful geckos.

April 16, 2008 - We are working on establishing a company that will not only provide a good service. But also provide a lot of information to hobbyists all over the world.
We've sat back and realized exactly where we want this company to focus a lot of it's resources, and it's mainly in the hobby itself and our community.
Although the company is not fully opened, we are busy bees making sure that we can be fully operational by the end of this summer.
We will also be remodeling our website, even though it is not even completed yet. As we are quickly venturing into new projects, new marketing ideas, and not only provide a good service to the public. But also give you a behind the scene exclusive of Herp Junkie, Inc. Not only as a company, but educators, a team, our new upcoming breeding projects, and of course updates of our Uroplatus Breeding Projects.
Please stick around to see upcoming updates to our website, and to the company itself. As we expect to be fully operational by July 2008.
Thanks, Rey | Breeder Herp Junkie, Inc.
